| The paper reported that the brown algae and its important product-alginic acid,which is extracted from the algae,are widely applied.It summarizes geographic distribution and biological characteristic of the algae,and the distribution,variety,chemical structure,physical and chemical property,production process,and application of the alginic acid were also introduced in this paper. |
